Chapter 149

Light of Wishes

In the great Spirit Library, towering beyond sight, the spirit found herself on one of the countless levels, nestled within an enormous cubicle.

Each cubicle, spanning over ten meters in length and width, overflowed with mountains of books - silk scrolls, bone scripts, stone tablets, and more. Most cubicles housed a table and chair, inviting readers to linger. Yet, this place lacked stairs; only those who could fly dared venture up.

The spirit sat at the table, her pen hovering in the air before her, occasionally descending to inscribe a few words.

Spirits had extracted numerous books from the memories of Trilobite Men, using miraculous power to imprint dream memories and place them within the great library. But this time, the spirit was writing her own book.

It was difficult. Unimaginably so.

Even the opening had wrung her mind dry, rewritten countless times.

The three elements of Dream Power: dreams, memories, and divine blood.

Divine blood was the origin of God's grace, the foundation of all existence for spirits, the cornerstone of power and wisdom.

Dreams were the spirit's authority, while memories were their sustenance.

Dream Spirit Hila's dream had long since transformed into the God-Given Land, bearing within it the God's Island, the Sun Cup Flower Sea, the God-Given City, and the Pyramid Temple. Such an enormous entity couldn't be stuffed directly into her divine blood like a Seal Spirit.

The Trilobite Men's method was simply impossible for her to replicate.

She had devised her own approach: first fuse divine blood with memory, exploiting the unique nature of spirit power.

"What memories should I infuse?" she pondered.

"What kind of memories are the most beautiful?"

Suddenly, an idea struck Dream Spirit Hila.

Her eyes lit up, and she floated down towards the Pyramid Temple. The librarian at the entrance of the great library barely raised their head to glance at her.

Yet, just as she left the library, she halted, seemingly remembering something.

The spirit lifted her gaze to the dream moon. The celestial orb appeared hazy and dim, as if lacking vitality.

Its light, cascading down, instilled a drowsy sensation.

But Dream Spirit Hila knew this signified God's presence, and a smile graced her face.

She rushed into the divine hall but found no trace of God.

She traversed the flower sea and the ruins of the city, yet God's shadow eluded her.

Then, God's voice echoed through the flower sea on the wind.

"Are you looking for me?"

Dream Spirit Hila looked up, realizing God wasn't in the divine hall, but standing in the side corridor.

"God! You're there!" she exclaimed, her golden robe dancing in the wind like a flower petal as she floated up to land beside Him.

Excitedly, she asked, "God! Do You have any wishes? Hila can fulfill Your wishes!"

Yin Shen looked at Hila, a slight curve touching His lips. "Even as the spirit of dreams, I'm afraid my wishes might be beyond your capabilities."

Dream Spirit Hila felt a bit embarrassed. She changed her approach: "What about smaller wishes? Those simple desires!"

She explained her idea.

The spirit planned to infuse wish-related memories into divine blood, along with divine technique imprints, attempting to transform the mythical blood of Dream Power through this method.

After all mythical blood had transformed, she would then assimilate the dream realm.

Yin Shen walked towards the divine hall, with the spirit following closely behind.

God sat down, recalling His own wish.

"I want a glass of ice water."

The spirit extended her hand, and an exquisite silver cup materialized amidst intertwining light. Water welled up from the bottom of the cup like a spring, emitting a faint chill.

"God," she said softly, "please accept this gift."

God took the silver cup and drank. The icy sensation reminded Him of long ago.

Yin Shen slowly opened His eyes. "Very nice."

A tiny bubble radiating endless light floated up from His brow, releasing the memory of that recent wish.

This wish-related memory fell into the spirit's drop of divine blood.

Simultaneously, the shadow of the Divine Cup appeared behind the spirit, and a rune resembling an ice crystal snowflake merged into the divine blood.

The essence of this divine blood began to transform, changing from the appearance of blood into a beam of light.

While the Wisdom Ability condensed into crystals, Dream Power ultimately became light, representing the difference in their paths and essences.

Yin Shen suddenly recalled the spirit's earlier inquiry about His wish, and casually uttered: "Light of Wishes."

And so it gained its name.

The spirit cradled this beam of light, saying happily, "God, I've captured another of Your beautiful dreams, haven't I?"

God merely smiled, not paying it much mind.

This streak of light fell upon the spirit's robe, instantly transforming it.

All the other dreams originally imprinted upon it vanished, leaving only a single ice flower emblazoned on her chest, like a unique brooch.

Yet, it possessed unimaginably powerful strength.

The spirit had found her method to break through to the fourth level, but this was only the beginning, not the end.

The spirit said to God: "I'd like to go and gather people's wishes, then use them to transform all the dream realm's mythical blood."

She looked at Him hopefully. "God, would You like to come and see Yinsai with me?"

Yin Shen picked up a book and sat by the window. "I think I'll pass."

Before the gates of God's realm.

The spirit carried an exquisite cloth bag containing several silk scrolls - her own unfinished works.

Like Lan, the spirit had begun compiling her method for Dream Power to break through to the fourth level into a book, becoming the first author among spirits.

The scroll's opening was titled "The Art of Wishes", perfectly complementing the "Art of God's Grace" written by the Food Priest Lan.

However, while Lan's "Art of God's Grace" was long complete, her book had barely begun.

Given her sluggish update speed and the spirits' scattered attitude,

Completion seemed a distant dream.

The spirit stood before the giant gates, looking back towards the God-Given Land, her form swaying left and right as if anticipating something.

God hadn't come to see her off, leaving the spirit somewhat disappointed.

However, a crowd of spirits came to bid her farewell, noisily surrounding her in the center.

Several usually mischievous greater spirits together carried a massive gift to Hila's front, proudly displaying it to her.

"Lady Hila!" they called out excitedly.

"This is our flying gift for you!"

"With this, you can soar in the sky and see the world of Trilobite Men."

Though called a flying tool, it was actually a hot air balloon basket.

The material was soft, with a texture similar to the spirits' robes.

In the past, little spirits often liked to grab balloons, letting them float in mid-air, and now they had improved their toy.

"Lady Hila, it's getting colder outside recently." Some little spirits also gave Hila their own hats and scarves.

"Bring us gifts when you come back, Lady Hila!" Some little spirits giggled in anticipation.

Dream Spirit Hila, carrying the gifts from the spirits, finally showed a happy expression.

She stood in the hot air balloon basket, drifting away from the gates of God's realm, waving to the spirits who had come to see her off.

The spirits crowded together, jumping and making a ruckus.

The Ship Giant and the ferryman, standing guard by the gates of God's realm, scratched their heads at the scene, their movements perfectly synchronized.
