God-Created Man
Published on:
A strange structure had appeared by the Sacred Lake, seemingly out of nowhere. It looked like a three-story oval house, woven from the tendrils of some unknown sea creature. These tendrils were incredibly thick and sturdy, some as wide as pillars.
It was hard to imagine what kind of creature could have produced such material.
Oddly, no one seemed to find this bizarre building by the Sacred Lake strange.
In fact, passing caravans and travelers paid it no attention at all.
A caravan departing from the foot of the Sacred Mountain traveled along the lake, its members discussing recent events in God-Servant City, the royal capital.
"Have you heard? His Majesty the King has recovered from his illness."
"Really?"
"That's wonderful news!"
"They say the new God-Servant Priest cured the King's illness. Many important figures in the city want the God-Servant Priest to treat them too."
"The priests in the temple are truly amazing, far more skilled than those mediocre doctors in the city."
"Of course, they have the bloodline of the First King Redlichia flowing through their veins."
The King of Yinsai hadn't appeared in public for nearly a year. Everyone in God-Servant City knew the King was ill, and some even speculated he wouldn't survive the year, given his advanced age.
Unexpectedly, a few days ago, the King reappeared, displaying the vigor of renewed youth.
This filled God-Servant City with cheers, and everyone rejoiced.
Although the second-generation king of the Henir Dynasty hadn't achieved the same great feats as his father, the kingdom had remained stable during his reign, with blessings from ritual power continuously manifesting.
This was enough to earn him the gratitude of countless common mortals, who hoped this peaceful and stable era would continue.
Suddenly, someone in the caravan noticed the building by the lake.
"Wait a moment," he exclaimed, pointing. "Where did that strange house come from?"
His companion mocked him for being easily surprised: "What's strange about it? It's just a house."
The caravan moved on, and everything seemed normal.
Inside the lakeside house.
Yin Shen sat on a chair woven from tendrils, His sacred white robe contrasting with the life-pulsing tendrils in a unique way.
Sunlight reflected off the lake surface onto the roof, creating shimmering, water-like ripples.
Before Him knelt six newly-created fourth-level bone demons, servants He had casually made to tidy and arrange things in the house.
They possessed great strength, and their form was similar to Trilobite Men, allowing them to move in and out without seeming too out of place.
But today, Yin Shen decided to give them another mission.
Each of them had something fused to their bodies that didn't belong, something that shouldn't be part of a Trilobite Man.
Human hands or feet, and one bone demon even had a human head growing from it. These parts all surged with the power of the Life Ability.
This wasn't a fusion of Life Ability and Wisdom Ability.
More accurately, it was a Wisdom Ability species using a Life Ability tool.
Yin Shen touched His finger to His brow, thinking quietly for a moment.
"Life Tool: God-Created Man."
"How does that name sound?"
The spirit looked at these Life Ability tools and turned to God, saying:
"Why don't we include all tools in the sequence ranking and record them in the Divine Cup?"
"If we only count Miracle Tools in the sequence, it seems a bit incomplete."
"Shouldn't we include all the tools in the world?"
Yin Shen pondered this suggestion. The Divine Cup was meant to document creations of life and wisdom, fostering the pursuit of truth and knowledge. In this light, Miracle Tools, Divine Artifacts of the Wisdom Ability, and life tools from the Life Ability all represented different facets of this pursuit.
"That's a good idea."
With a thought from Yin Shen, the sun in the Dream Realm began to rotate.
The tool sequence inscribed on the Divine Cup changed.
Above 【Miracle Tool: Spirit's Hot Air Balloon】, a new name appeared, and its sequence number automatically moved down two places.
Sequence number 1 became God-Created Man, and sequence number 2 became the Divine Boat.
【Life Tool: God-Created Man (Incomplete)】
【Sequence Number 1】
【It is a tool for collecting and recording all life sources in the world. All life sources will be uploaded to the Mother Conch of All Things. Possessing a part of it grants you distorted immortality. When your body decays and ages, your body and bloodline will die and be reborn in an eternal cycle, with a new consciousness emerging.】
【Countless consciousnesses circulate in an undying, immortal body. Is this a single soul? Or countless souls?】
【Head: Ability to transform into any person or even other races.】
【Torso: Can produce organs of various creatures.】
【Left Hand: Can heal injuries.】
【Right Hand: Can absorb illnesses.】
【Left Leg: Stores life force; possessing it grants near-invincibility.】
【Right Leg: Stores the source of viruses; life forms that touch it will suffer the torment of illness.】
This was the new life tool created by Yin Shen, an unformed human body.
A creation of the Life Ability.
One day, when any of these six parts finds the missing piece of the Life Ability.
The six body parts will combine to form a God-Created Man with intelligence.
When that happens, it will return to the Dream Realm to see God and carry out the mission bestowed upon it.
And these bone demons were the carriers of this life tool.
They would help Yin Shen walk this vast land, using wisdom to find or create the missing part of the Life Ability.
The spirit was a bit worried: "Can they really find the missing part of the Life Ability? Won't they lose control?"
Yin Shen felt somewhat satisfied with this life tool He had personally created.
But He wasn't very confident about when or if these servants would find the other part of the Life Ability.
"Let's give it a try!"
"Surprises often appear in the process of experimentation."
The spirit offered her idea: "Why don't we take the airship and bring them to various places, to see how they live in this world and how they collect life sources?"
"What if they lose control? What if they go bad?"
She wouldn't admit that she just wanted to spend more time with God in the outside world.
Shelly leaned on the windowsill, swinging her legs.
She saw a big fish leap from the lake surface, the water rippling beautifully in the sunlight.
"Gururu!"
The spirit immediately smiled and turned to Yin Shen. "See, God? Even Shelly agrees!"
Who could tell if "gururu" meant agreement or refusal?
The humble bone demons knelt on the ground. They actually possessed nascent intelligence, but it hadn't been activated yet.
Like dormant seeds waiting for the right conditions to sprout.
Yin Shen raised His hand.
The shadow of the Crown of Wisdom appeared between His fingers, like a ring.
"Ability grants you wisdom, and I grant you mission."
The power of the Crown of Wisdom activated the bone demons' consciousness and intelligence, while also permanently inscribing their mission into their bloodline.
Generation after generation.
Endless and infinite.
The bone demons woke up one by one, the light of wisdom igniting in their empty eyes.
But they didn't dare to look up.
Even though they didn't know who was before them, they instinctively feared that unimaginably powerful force and the divine presence that couldn't be directly gazed upon.
Before them stood three beings of immense power: Yin Shen, the creator of all; Shelly, the Mother of All Things; and the spirit, the emissary standing at God's right hand and manager of the Dream Realm.
Everything in the world seemed so insignificant before these three. The poetry of life seemed like just a carelessly recorded book on their endless bookshelves.
The vast changes of civilization were just a chessboard on their table.
Having finished with these new creations, Yin Shen stood up and walked towards the upper level.
"Let's depart!"
A huge hot air balloon rose from the top of the house, with the oval three-story house perfectly embedded beneath the balloon.
The spirit's hot air balloon transformed into an airship and took flight, heading towards the horizon.
