Hearing the Will of Yinsai
Published on:
Rainbow Spirit Realm.
At the entrance to the spirit realm, intertwined branches, covered in colorful flowers, formed a grand doorway.
Every figure passing beneath, even the carefree spirits, could not help but stop and gaze upward.
Through this doorway, one could see treehouses connected by vine bridges.
The nymphs moved gracefully between tree hollows, stepping into one only to reappear from another far away, as if the forest itself carried them along its magical pathways.
Florrie, the first-born and eldest wood nymph, was holding a farewell ceremony for wood nymph Saint Raphael. Many spirits were leaving the Spirit Country to join festivities on the Dream Continent.
Saint Raphael was extremely popular among the spirits. At every tea party, she was the one who livened up the atmosphere, repeatedly making astonishing statements.
Some people are born to be protagonists.
Though perhaps of the comedic variety.
Saint Raphael stood on a wooden platform, facing everyone.
The nymphs either stood on the ground or were seated on suspension bridges and in front of treehouses.
Spirits fluttered through the air like the wind, their playful laughter echoing. Sometimes, they suddenly emerged from flower clusters in the tree crowns, startling others.
Saint Raphael was about to depart.
Several nymphs gathered around her, reluctant to part, whispering to her.
"Be careful out there!"
"Remember, the outside world is dangerous!"
"When your journey is complete, please come back quickly!"
"We're going to miss you so much!"
But Saint Raphael was extremely excited. She was unlike other nymphs, who yearned for quiet and peace.
She was very brave and loved collecting all sorts of interesting things, which she then stuffed into her box.
She loved lively places, and the mortal world was the liveliest of all.
The nymphs lived in the Creator's Domain. The human world was not mysterious to them, but it was distant.
Saint Raphael wanted to visit the mortal world, collect things she liked, and decorate her spirit realm.
"I'm not afraid at all, you know!"
"Besides, I have Lady Hila's ring."
Saint Raphael showed off the ring given to her by the Dream Sovereign again. She had strung it on a cord and hung it around her neck.
It looked less like a ring and more like an amulet.
As Florrie clapped her hands, the other nymphs descended from the platform. Everyone below then watched Saint Raphael.
Saint Raphael wrote a letter and folded it into a paper airplane.
She revealed a smile that was somewhat silly yet radiant.
Then she blew on the nose of the paper airplane.
"Ha!"
As if that single breath would make it fly more accurately.
The paper airplane traced a circle in the air, wobbling, but it successfully glided into the tree hollow.
Whether this unscientific rumor was true, or Saint Raphael's technique was genuinely good, the paper airplane landed successfully. It fit perfectly into that narrow tree hollow on the first try.
Then it transformed into starlight, heading toward the Dream Starry Sea.
Saint Raphael was overjoyed.
She turned back with her mouth wide open, looking at everyone with surprise.
Her face clearly showed "I did it!" and "I'm so amazing!" Then, applause erupted from below.
Only then did Saint Raphael suddenly remember she should pray.
"Deliver this to..."
"My future self, for when I return."
Sending oneself a letter across time originated from Creator God Yinsai. It then became popular in the Creator's Domain.
And Saint Raphael's letter was from her departing self to her returning self.
With that, the farewell party came to an end.
The spirits called out to Saint Raphael, waving at her.
The wood nymphs came to embrace Saint Raphael, accompanying her all the way to the edge of the Dream Starry Sea.
Saint Raphael chose to leave on the Divine Boat.
She was not wearing the white robes usually worn by nymphs. Instead, she wore a blouse and long skirt given to her by the spirits, along with delicate leather boots. Her hair was still in the bun Lady Hila had tied for her.
She carried a small leather case that looked heavy, though its contents remained a mystery.
The nymphs had asked her earlier why she did not leave the items in her case behind in the spirit realm or a tree hollow. She could have retrieved them once she reached the mortal world.
"Oh, but these are my treasures! I want to be able to take them out and look at them whenever I feel like it."
"If I can't see them, I would feel very uncomfortable," she had told the nymphs, holding her leather case tightly.
Saint Raphael was already a somewhat strange nymph, so the others were not surprised.
In the distance, the Divine Boat entered the Creator's Domain from the outside world, quickly sailing into the star sea.
Saint Raphael finally stopped dawdling, ready to board.
"Well, I'm leaving now!"
Saint Raphael waved to everyone, smiling like the flowers of the rainbow tree.
Whoosh!
The sound of the Divine Boat grew louder, accompanied by the metallic compression noise of a massive steel object in motion.
A beam of light swept across, and Saint Raphael boarded the Divine Boat as a passenger.
The great vessel that guided life dreams did not linger long in the Creator's Domain. It delivered all life dreams into the star sea in just a brief moment, then began a new round of patrol.
Saint Raphael traveled toward the outside world with the Divine Boat.
In the distance, the gates of the Creator's Domain appeared, first as a mere point, then growing larger.
Each time the nymphs opened a passage connecting to the outside, they were actually passing through this gate's power and acknowledgment.
Without the permission of the kingdom's gate, no person or thing could enter or exit the Creator's Domain.
She finally saw just how enormous this gate truly was.
"Wow!"
It was so large that standing at its base, one could not see its top even with their head tilted to the extreme.
It only opened a crack, yet it could accommodate the Divine Boat's passage.
As the Divine Boat left the Creator's Domain, Saint Raphael immediately ran from the bow to the stern. She watched until the kingdom's gate became a point of light disappearing into darkness.
Only then did she realize her journey had truly begun.
She was embarking on a journey that belonged to her alone.
Saint Raphael leaned on the ship's rail, feeling both excited and bewildered.
What kind of spirit realm should she establish?
A large, magnificent, beautiful one.
Large, so it could accommodate more things. A nymph's realm certainly needed to be beautiful, and magnificence was something Saint Raphael had learned from the spirits.
But that was it.
These words felt abstract, and Saint Raphael could not quite picture what "large, magnificent, and beautiful" would truly look like in the end.
She scratched her head and finally came up with an answer.
"Oh, I'll just stop thinking about it for now."
"I'll just take it slowly!"
This was an answer that was not really an answer.
The mortal world.
In the domain of the God of Alchemy and Desire, a place called the Sky Miracle Garden.
It was daytime, and sunlight shone unobstructed upon the garden in the sky. The silver Cup of Desire reflected the dazzling sunlight, its brilliance somewhat blinding.
Across a crystal bridge, one could see all manner of strange sights reflected in the water below: treasures of gold and silver, alchemical artifacts, divine technique scriptures, and more.
Lighthouses dotted the area, each adorned with lamps that remained unlit for now.
Near the crystal bridge, in the Garden of the Cup of Desire, stood a colorful flower tree. This tree was robust and had a naturally formed, regular tree hollow.
Suddenly, the tree hollow of the colorful flower tree emitted light.
Then a strange figure appeared inside, as if someone had materialized in the tree hollow.
"Oh no, I'm stuck!"
"Why is this tree hollow so tight? It must be because my case is too big, isn't it?"
The lamps in the surrounding lighthouses and on the bridge lit up one after another.
The lamp spirits of the Sky Miracle Garden discovered the anomaly and appeared beneath the rainbow tree.
The glowing lamp spirits lined up in a row, surrounding the disheveled girl in the tree hollow.
Sure enough, it was Saint Raphael.
Her leather case was too large, trapping her inside.
The lamp spirits had seen human visitors traveling upstream against waterfalls, powerful demigods suddenly descending from the sky, and divine believers returning as lamp fires.
But they had never seen someone appear like this. It was too amusing.
Saint Raphael, stuck in the tree hollow, poked her head out. She was squeezed together with her case, staring at the lamp spirits outside with eyes that clearly said, "I need help!"
Amid the flower sea, the swaying Cup of Desire seemed to murmur softly. Yet, its whispers reached Saint Raphael's ears with surprising clarity.
"A silly one."
"A careless one."
"One who does not look very bright."
Saint Raphael's first choice of destination was the Land of Sunrise, because it had numerous Miracle Temples and many people who believed in Dream Sovereign Hila.
Additionally, the Land of Sunrise had numerous alchemists who could create all sorts of unique items.
Ever since learning about this place, Saint Raphael had wanted to visit.
Saint Raphael believed she could more easily establish her Storage Spirit Realm there and more readily collect prayer light carrying storage wishes.
Moreover, the Miracle Temples there and the mortals who believed in Lady Hila made Saint Raphael feel a sense of familiarity.
So she chose a rainbow tree near the Sunrise Mountains as her exit point.
But she had not expected to encounter trouble at the very start, getting stuck in the tree hollow with her very first step.
Saint Raphael was trapped in the tree hollow, surrounded by a group of lamp spirits, while strange voices from the flower sea mocked her.
Saint Raphael felt aggrieved while the lamp spirits watching her remained unmoved.
"Help me, please!"
"Someone, anyone!"
"Please, won't you help me?"
"What kind of glowing people are you anyway? How can you just stand there watching without helping me!"
At that moment, a woman with golden hair emerged from the Cup of Desire flower sea and approached Saint Raphael.
"They are lamp spirits. They only obey the will of God."
"Here, let me help you!"
She first removed Saint Raphael's leather case, then pulled out the somewhat disheveled Saint Raphael.
Her once-neat hair was now completely disheveled.
But one could still see that she was no ordinary person.
She wore a magnificent dress, no less splendid than those found in the mortal world, and a pair of glossy leather boots showcasing exquisite design and craftsmanship.
The leather case she carried was clearly a miracle creation. The ring hanging on her chest also radiated a powerful energy, one that the Golden Queen could sense.
The Golden Queen's gaze first fell on Raphael's feet, and her expression changed.
The figure wore boots and possessed a pair of legs.
God's Form?
Her first thought was, this could not possibly be a deity, could it?
But seeing her comical cries for help and the awkward way she crawled out of the tree hollow, it was difficult to associate her with a majestic and powerful deity.
"Emerged from a rainbow tree hollow? And black hair?"
She thought of another type of being naturally possessing God's Form and asked.
"Are you a wood nymph from the Creator's Domain?"
Seeing that the woman had recognized her, Saint Raphael placed her case on the ground in front of her and thanked her.
"I am Wood Nymph Saint Raphael," she confirmed.
"You helped me. Thank you so much."
Though she was a somewhat careless nymph with a peculiar entrance, she was still a messenger from the Creator's Domain.
The Golden Queen returned the greeting, welcoming Saint Raphael's arrival.
"Welcome," the Golden Queen said warmly.
"The God of Alchemy and Desire, Iva, awaits you inside, Messenger from the Creator's Domain."
In the Golden Queen's view, when a member of the Divine Messenger race arrived at the Sky Miracle Garden, they must certainly have a mission bestowed by the Sovereign or even the Creator.
However, she had not expected that Saint Raphael had simply chosen a prominent rainbow tree to climb through.
And the rainbow tree in the Sky Miracle Garden was the most conspicuous.
"The God of Alchemy and Desire?" Saint Raphael repeated, recognizing the name.
Saint Raphael knew of this deity, a servant of Lady Hila.
Long ago, he was the ferryman of the Creator's Domain.
Many of the stars in the dense star sea above the Creator's Domain were personally delivered by this deity.
"Oh, wonderful!" she exclaimed.
"I've never met any other deities before!"
The "other deities" Saint Raphael referred to were, naturally, deities outside the Creator's Domain. The ones she regularly encountered within it were so majestic that even the Golden Queen did not dare ask further.
Inside the magnificent castle, the hall was filled with various alchemical artifacts, and lanterns of all kinds moved about like living creatures.
This was not a standard temple, but it felt more like a home.
Perhaps because this deity was associated with desire, many things here had obvious connections to the secular world.
Atop mountains of desire coins, treasures, and alchemical artifacts, the God of Alchemy and Desire was waiting for Saint Raphael.
The God of Alchemy and Desire was not particularly versed in social graces, and given his familiarity with the Creator's Domain, he immediately questioned Saint Raphael.
What might seem presumptuous to ordinary people felt perfectly normal to both Iva and Saint Raphael.
"Recently, the Creator revealed the Source of Wisdom to us, illuminating our path forward," God Iva began, looking at Saint Raphael.
"And now, a messenger stands before me."
"Messenger from the Creator's Domain," he asked, "have the great Yinsai and the Dream Sovereign Lady Hila imparted some divine oracle to me?"
God Iva stood up, slowly descending from above.
"Their servant, Iva, will execute Their will without hesitation."
Saint Raphael was stunned for a moment, then shook her head at Iva.
"Oh, I'm not here to deliver any divine oracle," Saint Raphael said.
"I just came to the mortal world to build my own spirit realm."
"God Iva, I think there's been a misunderstanding," she added, scratching her head with an awkward smile.
"I did not mean to come here specifically... it was more of an accident, really."
But hearing Iva mention the Source of Wisdom, Saint Raphael felt it sounded familiar.
"Source of Wisdom?" Saint Raphael murmured.
"I think I've heard that name somewhere before."
God Iva looked into Saint Raphael's eyes. "It seems you carry a divine oracle without even realizing it."
Saint Raphael looked at God Iva with confusion. "Divine oracle?"
But after a moment, she finally recalled where she had heard these words.
"Oh, I remember now!" Saint Raphael exclaimed.
"When I appeared before Lady Hila in the Pyramid Temple, I think I heard God Yinsai mention something about it."
God Iva did not interrupt Saint Raphael's recollection but quietly waited for her to remember everything.
Saint Raphael thought for a while, then slowly continued.
"Back in the Pyramid Temple, I remember Lady Hila asking God Yinsai about some Wisdom Fruits," she began slowly.
"She said they were in the Creator's Domain, hidden within the Source of Wisdom on God's Moon."
"She also mentioned that the demigods here in the mortal world could not reach them."
"And then, God Yinsai replied..."
Saint Raphael looked at the God of Alchemy and Desire, Iva, before her. The demigods Lady Hila spoke of surely included this deity standing before her.
God Iva's eyes flickered. He was now certain that the Divine Messenger before him was indeed delivering a divine oracle.
"Iva listens to the will of Yinsai," he declared.
"Your will is the fate of the world. Your command is the supreme law."
He prostrated himself on the ground, listening to the will of the supreme Creator.
He was not kneeling before Saint Raphael, but before the greatness and eternity that the nymph represented.
Even Saint Raphael was startled by God Iva's action and became serious herself.
Light shone in from the great door behind her, casting Saint Raphael's shadow on the wall, making it appear tall and elongated.
An immortal deity kneeling before her proved the extraordinary nature of this moment.
Saint Raphael's voice echoed through the Miracle Garden. She was now an angel proclaiming the Creator's will.
"When they establish divine kingdoms in the mortal realm," she said, her voice echoing, "and when they transmit divine grace and wisdom to the mortal world..."
She looked down at Iva's prostrated form and spoke the final words clearly: "The wisdom fruits will naturally descend."
After a long while, God Iva slowly rose.
He said something to Saint Raphael that she could not yet understand, though he himself felt it deeply.
"In the grand scheme of things," he said, his voice filled with awe, "God Yinsai has truly already arranged everything."
"Yes, He is Yinsai," Saint Raphael said, nodding with a bright smile, her voice filled with admiration.
"The Creator of all things."
Iva slowly returned to his divine throne, appearing to contemplate the divine oracle Saint Raphael had just delivered as he walked.
The so-called Wisdom Fruits must be the fruits they had previously seen growing in the Source of Wisdom.
But the latter part.
When they establish divine kingdoms in the mortal realm, when they transmit divine grace and wisdom to the mortal world, the wisdom fruits will naturally descend.
The first step should refer to establishing a divine kingdom in the mortal world.
The divine grace mentioned afterward likely means passing the Art of God's Grace to believers.
Then what does transmitting wisdom to the mortal world mean?
Iva pondered the word "wisdom" and suddenly understood its meaning.
"The Path of Wisdom."
He roughly understood the meaning of the divine oracle and knew what to do next, or rather, he was already on the right path.
Iva looked at Saint Raphael with a sincere expression. "Thank you," he said warmly.
"You truly are a messenger from the Creator's Domain."
Saint Raphael smiled softly, her voice carrying a hint of pride. "I do have a name, you know," she said.
"I am Saint Raphael."
In the Creator's Domain, the "Saint" in Saint Raphael's name seemed particularly ostentatious.
But after coming to the mortal world, her "Saint" suddenly became different.
Even God Iva and the Golden Queen felt that her "Saint" title was well-deserved.
Iva looked at the nymph and asked, "Saint Raphael, Messenger of the Creator's Domain, will you be staying in the mortal world for a while?"
Saint Raphael nodded thoughtfully. "I want to become a Storage Nymph, but it's going to be tough," she admitted with a small smile.
"Building a Storage Spirit Realm is much harder than creating a Letter Spirit Realm. It might even take reaching the Fourth Rank to succeed."
"But I'm ready for the challenge," she said, her voice filled with resolve.
Saint Raphael turned to the mortal demigod with a curious expression and asked, "God Iva, do you have any advice for me?"
Iva looked at Saint Raphael as if seeing himself when he first left the Creator's Domain.
Back then, he was like a blank slate, also just stepping from the Creator's Domain into the mortal world.
"This journey is yours alone to take," Iva said gently.
"As for my advice? Do not rush to reach your destination."
"Instead, take the time to enjoy the sights and the people you meet along the way."
Iva gazed at Saint Raphael, his eyes finally settling on the ring she wore around her neck, a blessing from Dream Sovereign Hila.
She was a messenger of the Gods, a wood nymph. She bore the blessing of the Dream Sovereign and carried the will of Creator Yinsai into the mortal world.
Only Saint Raphael herself was not aware of it.
She only thought of herself as an ordinary, unremarkable wood nymph.
A careless person who always made mistakes.
Even Iva couldn't help but speak with a sense of reverence.
"Saint Raphael," he said, his voice steady and warm.
"You are a messenger from the Creator's Domain, and those who cross your path will find salvation."
Saint Raphael blinked, her eyes wide with surprise as she pointed at herself. "Me?" she asked, her voice filled with disbelief.
"Save others?"
She shook her head quickly, waving her hands as if to dismiss the very idea.
"I can barely keep myself out of trouble!" she admitted with a sheepish smile. "I'm always making such silly mistakes. How could I possibly save anyone?"
Saint Raphael looked at the sky, feeling that she would be doing well enough if she did not need Lady Hila to save her in critical moments.
But God Iva spoke thoughtfully.
"In the grand design of the cosmos, God Yinsai has already set everything in motion."
"Your arrival here, the words you've shared with me, and the impact you will eventually have on the mortal world..."
"All of it is part of a fate that was written long before this very moment."
Saint Raphael could not understand Iva's lengthy discourse, thinking that these mortal gods were somewhat mystical and strange, unlike the Dream Sovereign and Life Sovereign.
Iva turned to Saint Raphael with a warm smile. "Saint Raphael," he said, "you have brought me Yinsai's divine oracle. As a token of my gratitude, please choose a gift from my garden before you leave."
Saint Raphael immediately became excited. Her face turned toward God Iva, who was above her, but her eyes were already rolling around.
She was already surveying her surroundings for any good treasures.
Iva nodded with a gentle smile. "Of course," he said warmly.
Saint Raphael stood on tiptoes, even setting down her case.
"Then I won't be polite about it!" she said, her voice light and cheerful.
Saint Raphael was never one to stand on ceremony, or rather, she had never known what politeness meant.
She immediately began picking and choosing throughout God Iva's domain, starting her joyful treasure hunt in the God of Alchemy's realm.
After searching for quite some time, she finally selected the treasure she liked most.
"Oh, this is nice! I really, really like it!"
It was a strange human head statue, an alchemical artifact in the early classical style of the Snake People civilization, crude yet possessing a primitive, ancient, and mysterious quality.
Saint Raphael held it in her hands, then hugged it to her chest as if embracing a large gold bar.
She treasured it too much to let go.
Iva glanced at it, seeing it was merely an ordinary Second-Rank alchemical artifact.
"Why choose this?" Iva asked Saint Raphael.
"Because it's strange!" Saint Raphael replied. She felt that strange things were precious, much like how some people in the world liked ugly things.
This was indeed a reason, but clearly not a typical person's view or concept.
Iva asked her again, "Why not pick something more valuable?"
Saint Raphael replied with a grin, "Because strange things are rare, and rare things are valuable!"
In ordinary people's eyes, expensive things were precious.
In ability users' eyes, powerful things were precious.
But in Saint Raphael's eyes, the concept of preciousness had an entirely different definition.
Saint Raphael felt she had made a great deal.
A freely obtained message, and she got a treasure in return.
And while God Iva said it was a divine oracle, Saint Raphael herself did not feel she had received any oracle, thinking it was all merely God Iva's interpretation.
If it turned out wrong, she could not be blamed.
God Iva gave her the gift and personally escorted her from his domain.
Saint Raphael happily left God Iva's Sky Miracle Garden, continuing her journey toward the Land of Sunrise.
Meanwhile, the Golden Queen stepped closer to God Iva, her voice soft with admiration.
"They are such a beautiful race," she said, her gaze lingering thoughtfully.
"It's as if they were born from the purest dreams. Just looking at them brings a sense of joy."
Iva gazed toward the doorway, his expression thoughtful, as if something was stirring in his memory.
"Why does it feel like..." he began, his voice trailing off.
"She does not quite seem like a typical nymph."
The Golden Queen tilted her head, puzzled. "Not like a nymph? What do you mean by that?" she asked.
"She's quite clearly a wood nymph from the Creator's Domain."
Iva shook his head slightly. "No, I'm not saying she isn't a nymph," he clarified.
"She's undoubtedly from the Creator's Domain, and she is indeed a wood nymph."
He paused for a moment, his gaze distant.
"But wood nymphs are usually known to be quiet and reserved. Yet, there's something about her... something familiar. It's almost as if I've seen her type before, many times."
The Golden Queen frowned slightly. "Familiar? How so?"
Iva's voice softened as he continued. "She reminds me of the spirits from the Sun Cup Flower Sea."
The Golden Queen looked at God Iva, and they exchanged puzzled glances.
However, the Golden Queen had never been to the Creator's Domain or the Sun Cup Flower Sea, nor did she know what spirits were like, so the conversation ended there.
The topic returned to God Yinsai's will.
"A new era is upon us," God Iva said to the Golden Queen.
"The supreme Creator, the great God Yinsai, has shown us the way forward. He hopes we can forge a path that will ultimately guide all beings."
From God Iva's words, the Golden Queen heard his deep worship of God Yinsai, and from those words, she began to imagine the image of such a great deity.
"He must be a truly great God," the Golden Queen said thoughtfully, "the most benevolent of all beings."
Iva nodded thoughtfully. "Indeed. He envisions a future filled with light, a future where every being shines brightly."
"All will unfold as He intends," he said with conviction, "for He is Yinsai."
Iva decided to select suitable beings to inherit the Art of God's Grace or even the Path of Wisdom, but such matters could not be rushed.
The more important such matters were, the more careful one needed to be.
