The Loser Bites the Dust! The Winner Bites the Dust, Too!

"I'm going big! Betting these two million!"
A player's confident voice echoed through the casino. The few other players scattered across the floor cast astonished glances in his direction.
They were all confident in their gambling skills. After extensive observation, they had discovered that the casino was surprisingly fair. The dealer and the other ghost patrons playing alongside them didn't seem to cheat or pull any tricks at all.
Whatever you won was what you got.
For these veteran gamblers, this was undoubtedly good news. Several of them had already skillfully turned their twenty-dollar starting capital into hundreds of thousands.
But none of them had expected someone to have already reached the millions. And this person was still going all-in.
It was clear he was determined to get the pass. He had chosen the fastest game, Hi-Lo, and went all-in every single time. He wanted to reach the thirty-seven million target in the quickest way possible, a strategy that had put his chip count far ahead of everyone else.
This was a Rogue Player. He turned, saw the others' astonished gazes, and let out a contemptuous laugh.
"A bunch of timid cowards. By the time I've taken all the 【Relics】, you'll still be gambling back and forth here!"
He scoffed.
"A true gambler risks it all on a single throw!"
He failed to notice, however, that the so-called ghost patrons around him were watching with gazes full of pity and ridicule.
Look, another idiot is about to fall into Number 666's trap.
This woman is the best gambler and the best cheater among us.
With her as the dealer, she can let you win as much as she wants, and she can make you lose everything just as easily.
Dude, you don't actually think we don't know how to cheat, do you?
We're just playing some games with our good sisters and enjoying the thrill. We just can't be bothered to use our tricks on you.
What? Are you her good sister too?
That was right. All the ghost patrons were originally waitresses, just there for some recreational fun. It didn't matter who acted as the house.
But the players didn't know that. They just thought these ghost NPCs were idiots and that winning their money was a piece of cake.
"Bets placed. No more changes. The cup is open!" the dealer announced.
"Small!"
As she lifted the dice cup, three dice were revealed, all clearly showing the "one" side up. The sight made the once-confident player's face turn deathly pale.
The three "ones" seemed to smile up at him, searing themselves into his mind.
"No! Impossible! It can't be small!"
The player stared in disbelief. With his skills, he could win a fortune in the biggest casinos in the world. He could always tell whether the dice would be big or small the moment they landed.
Unless… the dealer cheated!
The player glared at the female dealer, his eyes practically murderous. Flames of fury roared within them.
"You cheated! Give me back my chips!"
He was ahead of everyone with two million. If he had won, he would have doubled his money. A few more rounds, and he would have had the pass to unlock the 【Relics】.
Now, he had nothing.
"Sir, would you please come with us?"
The moment he lost his chips, two smiling female waitresses appeared behind him out of nowhere. Their eyes, however, held an icy chill.
Ignoring his struggles completely, one of them slapped him hard on the back of the neck.
The player's eyes rolled back, and he fainted. Lying on the floor like a stray dog, he was dragged away.
The other players watched, dumbfounded, a nervous swallow echoing in the quiet room. The hands holding their own chips trembled slightly.
So… if you lose everything, you get taken away?
It didn't take a genius to guess what happened to those who were taken away. In a disaster game like this, a choice that led to failure had only one consequence.
Death.
"Sir, would you like to place a bet?"
The dealer, Number 666, smiled at another player standing nearby.
A bead of cold sweat trickled down the man's face. What should he do? It seemed the casino had started cheating.
Could anyone really win thirty-seven million?
"Shoot! Shoot!"
Yun Ze passed the ball from an extremely tricky angle to the Poet of the Myriad Springs Division.
The Poet made a handsome fadeaway shot for a three-pointer. The two of them looked at each other and smiled.
At a time when most players were fighting for themselves, the benefits of an organization were clear. The members of the Tower of Order, along with Yun Ze and a few other Rogue Players who had signed cooperation contracts, were dominating the basketball court.
The all-female team from the ship was strong, but Yun Ze's group consistently maintained a slight advantage.
If this kept up, they had a very good chance of winning the pass.
In the locker room, Number Two was subbed out. She chugged several large mouthfuls of a beverage.
A waitress next to her, also in a basketball uniform, asked a question.
"Sis, why are we letting them win? We're all clearly very good!"
The waitresses on the team had all developed a passion and talent for sports after gaining free will. Coupled with their unparalleled physical prowess aboard the Mary, it meant that, to put it bluntly, players without transcendent abilities stood no chance of winning against them.
"The boss said it before she got in the coffin. If we run into these few people, we must let them get a pass."
With that, Number Two took out a few sketches from her clothes. They were drawings of Yun Ze, the Poet of the Myriad Springs Division, Mei Yige, Tangqian Yan, and Jinxiu.
"Aside from them, let half of the people who come here get a pass to the Top Floor, and drag the other half to the cargo hold."
"Both losers and winners have a place to go."
"A place the boss specially prepared for them."
The loser bites the dust, and the winner bites the dust, too.
Victory and defeat here depended entirely on the waitresses' whims. It was all predetermined.
No player knew that this was an unfair gamble from the very start. They still thought this was a normal part of the Instance. Little did they know, this cruise ship did not belong to the original Aiguyi Town at all.
Putting away the sketches, Number Two took out another piece of red paper. On it was a drawing of a woman who looked demure and cute, her eyes smiling like crescent moons. It was Zhuge Yue.
With a solemn expression, Number 2 relayed the boss's exact words.
"'But if you run into this madwoman…'"
"Then kill her!"
The other waitresses nodded quickly, understanding their orders.
It was strange, though. Logically, all the players should have boarded the ship by now, but it seemed none of the waitresses had encountered Zhuge Yue. The other players, too, hadn't seen the infamous madwoman in a long time.
No one knew where she was.
At that very moment, in the Hongmen Club, a crystal coffin rested in the center of the main hall.
Beside it stood two women, one in red and one in black, each with a different but equally stunning beauty.
Mary gently caressed the coffin. Her expression was complicated as she looked at Wu Wang, who lay sleeping inside with his eyes closed.
She sighed and spoke.
"Sir, you truly are as wise as a prophet. Those 【Relics】 really did have a problem."
"Even after a hundred years of purification, very few of them can be used normally."
"Thankfully, you made arrangements in advance. We are proceeding according to your plan."
"The traitor's descendant will also be successfully lured out."
"Welcome back to the world."
