O Captain, My Captain!

Pop!
With the monstrous strength of a King Kong Barbie, Number Five easily yanked Wu Wang out of the wall.
Her expression, however, was not pleased.
"Why did you have to make that weird sound when I pulled you out?" she asked, frowning in puzzlement.
Wu Wang just straightened the wrinkles on his clothes.
"To stay true to the 'Step-bro, I'm stuck' series," he said casually. "You should watch more films that are good for your physical and mental health. I can recommend a few sites..."
"?"
Although Number Five didn't understand his words, she could sense he was saying something incredibly rude.
Out of respect for Mary, she resisted the urge to throw him into the sea to feed the fish.
After tidying his clothes, Wu Wang spoke.
"I'm afraid your break is over. I need you to take me somewhere private."
Hearing this, Number Five, still in the Decade suit, broke into a smile.
Her tone reverted to the standardized professionalism she'd used when they first met. Taking a step back, she bowed slightly.
"I was being presumptuous before. I would be delighted to serve you again. Where are we going?"
No matter her current disguise, Number Five would never forget that she was a waitress.
When a guest made a request, she had to do her best to fulfill it.
Wu Wang's gaze grew determined.
"We're going to find Captain Cook. Do you know where he is?"
Since his ultimate goal was to eliminate William, he first needed to locate the man.
Mary had told him William was Captain Cook's boss and had been controlling the Mary cruise ship for years. The captain was bound to know something.
Wu Wang needed to have a good "chat" with him.
Number Five was ready to comply with any request.
"Aside from speaking at the ball each night, Captain Cook always stays in the Captain's Room. Do you need to go there now?"
"Let's switch back first, then you can lead the way."
Click.
Not long after, the room door opened.
Wu Wang's room didn't have a standard waitress uniform, so...
The most bizarre pairing on the cruise ship, Decade and a Bunny Girl, once again appeared in public.
An idle waiter, who had just offered Number Five assistance, now sized them up with an extremely strange look.
Hmm… Why would a fellow waitress be willing to wear a Bunny Girl outfit?
He noted the slightly awkward way she walked, as if she wasn't used to the attire.
Meanwhile, the guest walking ahead of her seemed to be in a much better mood than when he could only communicate with a notepad. His steps were far more confident.
Even though many had seen the pair yesterday, they were still a strange sight.
Inspired, some guests made similar requests for their own waitresses to change outfits.
The result... well, the fish under the cruise ship ate very well that day.
Among the onlookers were the guests from whom Wu Wang had collected an "entrance fee" at the ballroom door last night.
Today, they had learned the truth.
The ball didn't require a damn entrance fee at all!
They had been completely scammed by that kid!
The problem was, they were all people of distinguished status.
For them, 648 yuan wasn't even enough for a single meal. None of them could bring themselves to admit they'd been swindled, let alone go find Decade to demand their money back.
They had no choice but to suffer in silence.
Under a barrage of fierce glares, Wu Wang and Number Five wound their way through the ship.
They gradually left the crowd behind, arriving at a quiet corridor.
The Captain's Room was located below the bridge, the first cabin on the starboard side at the very end of the corridor. Almost no one ever came here.
The only sounds in the passage were their two sets of footsteps, punctuated by strange gasps and bits of dialogue from up ahead.
It was vaguely recognizable as English.
They seemed to be discussing some profound matter of right and wrong, as a female voice could be heard constantly saying, "Yes."
They finally arrived at a half-open door, where the commotion from within grew clearer.
Wu Wang's expression turned strange.
After a moment of contemplation, he chose to knock rather than storming in to join the festivities.
Knock, knock, knock.
As the rapping echoed down the hall, the noises inside the Captain's Room came to an abrupt halt. A tense, awkward silence filled the air.
Soon, Captain Cook's deep, magnetic voice, tinged with a hint of helplessness, drifted out.
"I have urgent business and cannot receive guests right now. Would my friends outside mind leaving for a little while?"
Knock, knock, knock! Knock, knock, knock!
The response was more urgent knocking. Wu Wang's teasing voice called out.
"Oh, Captain! My Captain!"
He knocked again.
"Ten more times and I'm coming in, invited or not!"
Number Five shot Decade an even stranger look. As a waitress, she felt she should stop this guest from provoking the captain.
But Mary's consciousness in her mind told her one thing. Just keep watching.
Knock, knock, knock! Knock, knock, knock! Knock, knock, knock!
Wu Wang counted as he knocked.
On the ninth knock, the ajar door was suddenly flung open. A stunning figure wrapped in a coat hurried past him without a backward glance.
She walked quickly, looking angry and annoyed, but her steps were unsteady, as if she couldn't muster any strength.
A moment later, the handsome Captain Cook appeared in the open doorway. He wore a standard service smile.
"Well, my friend, you certainly are in a hurry. The lady wasn't even satisfied."
He leaned against the doorframe.
"You'd better have a very good reason for interrupting my pleasure."
Wu Wang leaned against the opposite wall, striking a relaxed pose.
"I won't beat around the bush, Captain Cook. I hear you're a legendary gambler, and I'd like to make a bet with you."
He paused, letting the words hang in the air.
"The stakes are simple. The loser must answer one of the winner's questions. No lies, no evasions."
He grinned.
"What do you say?"
Captain Cook was about to roll his eyes and shoo the man away.
Then, his gaze fell upon the Bunny Girl standing beside Wu Wang.
His expression shifted, becoming curious.
Since when do these waitresses fulfill requests to change outfits? he wondered. Even I don't have the authority to make them do that. What happened here?
He was intrigued.
A grin spread across his face.
"Of course, no problem! Captain Cook always enjoys a little gambling entertainment, my friend."
His eyes glinted.
"But first, you have to earn your seat at the table."
With that, he turned and walked back into the room.
Wu Wang followed him inside, unsurprised.
He had known Captain Cook would agree to the bet. Seeing Number Five in her Bunny Girl outfit gave him even less reason to refuse.
Besides, he had learned the rule for this private area from Mary beforehand.
To even enter the Captain's Room and start asking questions, one had to beat Cook in a game of chance.
The man was a veteran gambler, after all.
Sure enough, as soon as he stepped inside, Wu Wang saw Captain Cook pick up a revolver from a table.
Right in front of him, the captain emptied all the bullets from the cylinder.
A trace of excitement glinted in Cook's eyes.
"Friend, have you ever heard of Russian Roulette?"
He held up the gun.
"If you want to play a game of truth with me, you first need to prove your luck."
He spun the empty cylinder.
"Survive this, and then we can talk."
Wu Wang raised an eyebrow, a similar grin spreading across his own face.
"My luck has always been good."
He met the captain's gaze without flinching.
"I accept this gamble."
